William is fully qualified in Australian Migration Law and comes from a distinguished family of lawyers.

William graduated with a Post Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice with Griffith University in 2014. He has over twenty years of experience educating Asian students at University level and also speaks a little of several Asian languages. From his work at University of Queensland lecturing PhD scholars, to presenting in Cambodia and Thailand about his research. He is so proud he worked as a Lecturer and respected member at Universities in Japan; Kyushu University, Kita Kyushu University and Kwansei Gakuin University.

Closer to his home on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, he educated many academic students at Southern Cross University, University of Queensland PhD students, Central Queensland University, Bond University, and Griffith University where he has seen the sudden and powerful growth of talented International Students entering both the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

William is inspired by the social aspect of meeting people and helping out. He is comfortable with all age groups and nationalities. He has a humanistic approach and loves to solve problems. Undoubtedly, his rich family history has helped him along his journey and seen him come a great distance.

He is a third generation Australian of Scottish decent. Born in Hobart, Tasmania his father was a Rode Scholar in Law at Harvard University in 1961 to study a Master in Law before William was born. William was born in Hobart, Tasmania. He is experienced in Australian Government and Business Management Policies. In 1999, he was recognized as an International Ambassador between Kumamoto, Japan and Australia. Since then, he has developed as an International Relations specialist in cross-cultural relations. His work has seen him travel extensively throughout SE Asia since 1986.

William began student visa applications for Japanese in 1999, when he advised and processed visas for a group of Japanese who travelled to Brisbane, Byron Bay and Sydney to study English. William lived in Tokyo, Japan between the boom years of 1990 and 1992, returned to University in Tasmania in 1994 and then raised his family in Japan between 1996 and 2002. Then he moved back to the Gold Coast 2003. He worked at CQU and UQ then went back to Japan 2005 to 2008. He then went to Brunei Darussalam in Borneo, where he met The Sultan of Brunei on a school visit in Brunei. William is bilingual in English and Japanese. In Japan, William worked as a JET Teacher for 3 years, Kochi University for 2 years. KitaKyushu National College of Technology and Kyushu University for 2 years, Kwansei Gakuin Catholic University for two years. Both of Williams' children were born in Japan and now live here on Gold Coast, Australia.  William's father, now retired, is a specialist in Family law and lives in Brisbane. His brother is a family and insurance lawyer in Ballina, and his grandfathers were both award winners in High Court and International Supreme Court Law. William drives his motivation from his amazing family and support. On weekends, he enjoys walking his border collies at the park and beach.
